Cell Phone Policy

In accordance with Missouri law and DeLaSalle Education Center policy, students may not access or use personal electronic devices during the school day. This bell-to-bell restriction applies from the first bell through dismissal.

Personal electronic devices include, but are not limited to:

  • Cell phones
  • Headphones and earbuds
  • Smartwatches
  • Tablets
  • Personal laptops or non-school-issued computers
  • Other devices capable of electronic communication

Upon entering the school building, students must turn in all personal electronic devices according to the school’s established check-in procedure. Cell phones will be securely stored in assigned lockers and returned at the end of the school day.

Exceptions may be made for documented medical needs, accommodations included in an IEP or Section 504 Plan, emergencies, or other circumstances authorized by school administration.

Students who fail to turn in a device or who access a device during the school day will be subject to consequences outlined in the Student Handbook.

Parents and guardians who need to reach their student during school hours should contact the main office at 816-561-4445.

Thank you for helping us maintain a focused, safe, and distraction-free learning environment.
