Kairos Student Life Department

Vision

All students will have the power to shape their own futures, not be defined by their circumstances. They will become change-makers in their communities—responsible, critical thinkers who lead emotionally and physically balanced lives.

We will accomplish this through the following:

  • Social Work Services, including case management, crisis intervention, and coordinated external referrals (in partnership with Swope Health and University Health)

  • Student and Family Advocacy

  • Individual and Group Counseling Services (in partnership with Ember & Bloom & First Call)

  • Behavioral Development and Restorative Justice Practices (in partnership with Center for Conflict Resolution & RestorED)

  • Targeted Attendance and Retention Supports

  • Provision of Basic Needs Supports for Students and Families (in partnership with Harvesters & Giving the Basics)

  • Family Engagement

Student Development Days at DeLaSalle

Student Development Days (SDD) at DeLaSalle Charter High School provide a calming and energizing balance to a school day. Students enjoy rotations of engaging, hands-on stations of expressive movements, arts, physical fitness, relaxation, self-expression, and interactive games. These experiences are more than just fun; they support the development of vital life skills such as self-care, body awareness, and mindfulness, helping students grow both in and outside of the classroom.

SDD is a reminder of our commitment to educating the whole student. Through academic rigor, play, creativity, movement, and reflection, students and staff alike walked away refreshed, uplifted, and more connected to the DeLaSalle community.
