Gain Real-World Experience Before Graduation

DeLaSalle students have opportunities to participate in paid internships through Block37 and community partners. These experiences allow students to explore career interests, develop professional skills, build relationships with positive adult mentors, and gain hands-on experience in real workplace environments. Students participating in internships can earn an hourly stipend while learning new skills. 

Block37 Paid Internships

Through Block37, students are connected with partner organizations throughout the Kansas City community. Internship opportunities span areas such as STEAM, sports, communication, education, life skills, and entrepreneurship.

Earn a Market Value Asset

Internships are also part of DeLaSalle's commitment to helping students graduate with Market Value Assets (MVAs)—industry-valued experiences and skills that help students transition successfully into college, career, or the workforce. 

Students can earn an Internship MVA by successfully completing 120 internship hours.

Other Real World Learning Opportunities

Internships are one piece of DLS's larger Real World Learning program. Students can also participate in opportunities through WeCodeKC, Build Trybe, Operation Breakthrough, dual enrollment, client-connected projects, industry-recognized credentials, and entrepreneurial experiences.
