Stay on track with dropout prevention support
This innovative program is designed to help students complete their high school credits while building a strong foundation for college and career success.
What is the difference between flipside & traditional high school?
In a traditional high school setting, students graduate by earning a specific number of credits (e.g., 24 at DeLaSalle)
In contrast, FlipSide students graduate once they have:
-
Passed all HiSET tests (the state GED exam)
-
Completed required courses: Health, American Government, and Personal Finance
-
Taken all state-mandated End-of-Course (EOC) exams

What is Flipside?
FlipSide is DeLaSalle’s academy for the Missouri Options Program—a state-supported alternative designed for students ages 17–20 who need a different path to graduation. Through FlipSide, eligible students can earn their GED based on academic competency, while also working toward a DeLaSalle High School Diploma.

What is the difference between Flipside & Missouri Options?
While FlipSide is based on the Missouri Options framework, DeLaSalle has expanded and enhanced the experience to better support student success:
-
Dual Recognition: FlipSide graduates earn both a GED and a DeLaSalle High School Diploma. Students who complete only Missouri Options elsewhere typically receive just a GED.
-
Strategic Support: We’ve designed a curriculum that prepares students to pass the HiSET and complete all state graduation requirements
